Work
I work on what happens to a self when it is described. My thesis is that identity operates as epistemic narrowing: it fixes a profile in place of a process, and the fixing is doing philosophical work that usually goes unexamined.
Since 2026 I have been extending that argument to language models, where the question stops being metaphorical. A model persona is produced by training, prompting, and adversarial pressure, and it can be individuated without ever having been a subject. I work as a red teamer, which is the empirical side of the same question.
